Susan A. Kaye

March 2, 1935 — January 18, 2024

Castleton- Susan Anne Kaye, of Castleton, passed away on January 18, 2024. Sue was born in London, England, on March 2, 1935. As a young girl, she lived through the bombing of London during WWII. She moved to the U.S. after the birth of her first son. When the children began to leave the nest, she recreated herself as a fitness instructor and bodybuilder, participating in and winning competitions in her 40s and 50s. Sue was an avid animal lover and known for her champion Vizsla family (Kito, Maggie, Loki and Palinka). If asked, she would insist that Bigfoot is real. Sue is survived by her children Steve (Carol) of Big Flats, NY; Jay (Angie) of Castleton, NY; and Jon (Joy) of Atlanta, GA. She had many grandsons and great grandsons, and finally one great granddaughter. She is predeceased by her beautiful son, Jamie.


Special thank you to the wonderful staff at Evergreen Commons for their gracious and kind care of Sue over the last few months, The family will be celebrating Sue’s life in private. Those who wish to commemorate her life can make donations in her name to Castleton/Schodack Kiwanis, PO Box 42, Castleton, NY 12033. Her son Jamie relished his summers at Kamp Kiwanis. The family would like to support families in being able to send their children to the camp that provided him so much joy.
