



Obituary of Wade R. Van Beusichem
Wade Russell Van Beusichem, 76, of Castleton, New York, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2023 in The Firefighters Home in Hudson, NY. Wade is survived by his wife, Wendy (Peck) Van Beusichem of Castleton, New York.
Wade was born in Castleton to Helen (Miller) and Adolph Van Beusichem, on December 9, 1946. Wade worked as a radar technician for the United States Army in San Bernadino, CA, later he worked for Sterling Drug, Rensselaer, NY, and the CSX Railroad, Selkirk, NY. Wade was an active volunteer fireman for many years and in several companies, most recently in the South Schodack Volunteer Fire Department. Wade loved Dalmatians. He had three: Chief, Cocoa Dot Flame, and Specks. Both Specks and Cocoa Dot Flame were show quality dogs. He was an avid pool player, competing with his team in the national competition in Las Vegas. Wade loved model railroading, a passion which started in his childhood, and volunteered his electronics expertise to the model railroad layout at the Medina Railroad Museum in Medina, New York.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Castleton Funeral Home, 59 Seaman Ave., Castleton-on-Hudson, NY on Friday July 7, from 4:00-7:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at Emmanuel Reformed Church, 1150 Maple Hill Rd, Castleton, NY on Saturday, July 8, at 10:00 am. This service will be Live Streamed on You Tube by the Church @ https://youtube.com/live/YHME4aCe4jA. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Castleton, followed by a reception at the Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Equipment Fund for the South Schodack Volunteer Fire Department, 1563 Bame Road, Castleton, NY 12033.
