Betty Cerrone

Betty Cerrone, age 92, was the last of a family of eight children to pass on October 17, 2022. She resided in East Greenbush for over 60 years. Betty was a wonderful mother to her three daughters, Sharon (Gerald) McNamara, Judith Cerrone, and Sandra (Thomas) Bishop. She enjoyed homemaking and taking care of her family. She also was proud to be part of the Schodack Senior Center as a volunteer and joined in the many activities they offered.

Betty was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Gordon Cerrone and her youngest grandson Clark Baker.

Betty, affectionately known as Nanny to her grandchildren, Laura McNamara, Daniel McNamara and Geoff Cerrone and her ten great-grandchildren, Gabrielle, Alexis, DeAysia, Cameron, Jacob, Tre’, Eliza, Kaitlyn, Madison and Catalina. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren loved spending quality time at Nanny’s house swimming and sleepovers. She always made their time with her special.

There will be a mass of Christian burial at St. Mary’s Church in Nassau on Friday morning, October 21, 2022 at 10:00 for those wishing to attend.

There will be a private burial for immediate family only following the mass.
