Averill Park-Joseph J. Hodgens, 52, entered into eternity on Tuesday May 26, 2015. He passed away unexpectantly at his home in Averill Park.

Joe (Hodgie) was born on September 25, 1962 and grew up in Castleton, NY. He was a hardworking man who loved his family and close friends.

He was the owner of Hodgens and Son construction business, which he built with his son John successfully. He prided himself on a job well done personally and professionally.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne Hodgens; his children Sarah and John Hodgens; his grandson Joseph Hodgens, his pride and joy; and his father and mother-in-law Clayton and Arlene Gravlin. He was preceded in death by his parents John H. Hodgens and Sally Nazarenko.

His funeral service will be 12 noon Monday June 1, 2015 at Ray Funeral Home, 59 Seaman Ave., Castleton, NY. Friends are invited and may call at the funeral home before the service from 10 am-12 noon. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
