Robert E. Sweet

Robert E. Sweet, 87, of Castleton, passed away August 3, 2021 at Riverside Nursing and Rehab Center. Born and raised in Castleton, he was a graduate of Schodack Central Schools. Robert served in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged. He started a career as a professional carpenter by trade and built houses throughout the Capital District. He is survived by daughter, Kathleen Rezkalla (Rafik), son Kevin Sweet, brother Paul Sweet (Mary), and sister Dorothy Lensink. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to call at The Castleton Funeral Home on Monday, August 9, from 10:00-12:00 with a prayer service to follow. Interment will take place in Horizon View Cemetery, Brookview Station Road in Castleton immediately following the service.
