Obituary of Thomas E. Reid
Reid, Thomas E.
Schodack-Thomas E. Reid, 72, died at his home, unexpectedly, on Sunday March 7, 2021. He was the son of the late Andrew T. Reid and Barbara (Bender) Reid, brother of the late Cheryl (Charles) Mahar, and was also predeceased by longtime companion Mary Mastropole. Born in Albany, he was a longtime resident of Schodack. Tom was an employee of the Watervliet Arsenal for over 30 years, retiring around 2010. He was a life member of the South Schodack Fire Company and a member of both the Nassau Sportsman Club and the Stephentown Rod and Gun Club. Survivors include his daughter Michelle (Barton) Becker, son Andrew Reid, sisters Linda (William) Rademacher and Dianne Meier (Larry Malek), step-children Kelly (Vincent) Albers and Mark Mastropole, 1 niece and 1 nephew.
His graveside service will be held 11 am Thursday March 11, 2021 at Horizon View Cemetery, Castleton. Pandemic restrictions to be followed with masks to be worn and social distancing practiced.
Donations in Tom’s memeory may be made to the South Schodack Fire Company 1563 Bame Road, Castleton, NY 12033.
