Obituary
Rensselaerville, New York - Keara Elizabeth Kelley, 19, born July 17, 2000, an angel on earth, joined her predeceased grandfather (William G. Reickert) and Oma (Louise B. Reickert) in heaven, unexpectedly from natural causes.
Keara was the cherished, sweetest and beloved daughter of James P. Kelley and Lori C. Kelley (Reickert), and loving sister of Jacob J. Kelley. Keara is also survived by W. Michael Reickert (Uncle) and Kelly (Aunt) and Marci Brunner (Aunt) and Adam (Uncle), as well as an adored cousin of Alysia Brunner, Alexa Reickert, Andrew Brunner and Julia Reickert.
Keara was a 2018 graduate of Columbia High School and in her second year of study at Hudson Valley Community College where she studied Forensic Science and achieved Dean’s List status, earning an award in Academic Excellence in Chemistry. Keara was in the process of selecting a college to continue her education.
Keara was a hard worker, greatly appreciated by her co-workers at the YMCA in Bethlehem where she recently earned the title of Site Supervisor, working full time while pursuing her education. When not working or studying, she was spending time with her brother, and her best friend Kathleen Beaudoin, and taking care of her many animals, whom she loved dearly.
Keara also loved visiting Disney World and the beach. Although Keara’s time on this earth was short, she left an indelible impression on all who encountered her. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Keara’s life on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 12:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, 68 Green Avenue, Castleton, New York. Burial to follow at Horizon View Cemetery (Brookview Station Road), where her body will rest next to her Pa and Oma.
