Southworth (Freeman), DeEtta, 63, Sunrise: August 29, 1955 – Sunset: November 11, 2018 passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Albany Medical Center while her Buffalo Bills finally won a game.

DeEtta will be remembered for sharing her laughter with her family and friends. DeEtta had a passion for cooking and all those who had the pleasure of sampling her menu will forever crave her Chicken Curry, Fried Chicken and Frank and Potato bake. She will be remembered as Winnie the Pooh quoted: “Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart”.

DeEtta is survived by her children ReBecca Ann Balak and Ralph W. Southworth, Jr. and her grandson Ralph W. Southworth, 3rd. She is also survived by her siblings, Estella Freeman, William Freeman, Jr., Rosemary Freeman and Tina Jewett. DeEtta was predeceased by her husband Ralph Southworth Sr., her parents William and Edna Freeman, her brothers, Lyle Freeman and Vernon Hoke. DeEtta is survived by many nieces and nephews whom she loved with all of her heart.

Friends and family are invited to the Ray Funeral Home, 59 Seaman Avenue, Castleton, NY, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday November 15, 2018. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday November 16, 2018 at Schodack Landing Cemetery, Route 9J, River Road, Schodack Landing, NY.
