Zeigler, Maxine, D.

Muitzeskill-Maxine “Max” Zeigler, 73, died February, 6, 2013 at her home in Schodack Landing, where she lived for over 52 years, after a long illness surrounded by her loving family. She was married to the late Russell “Ducky” Zeigler. Born in South Kingstown, RI, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Dorothy Leonard of Stuyvesant Falls. Maxine retired from Schodack Central School District, was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Castleton and a member of the Castleton Fire Department Ladies’ auxiliary. She also was an avid quilter and hand made many beautiful quilts for her children and grandchildren.

Maxine is survived by daughters; Patricia (Rich Bamberger), Jennifer (John Gillette), Jill (Bob Hicks) and son Jeff (Jackie Zeigler); Grandchildren; Richard and Emily Bamberger, Elizabeth Gillette, Abbi, Melanie and Alec Hicks, Taylor, Riley and Donovan Cunningham, also, sister Karen Alberston and brother Thomas Leonard as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 70 Green Ave, Castleton, NY from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A memorial service will be held Monday at 11:00 am also at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 70 Green Ave, Castleton, NY
