Castleton-Earl B. Ennis, 87, formerly of Castleton, died peacefully with his family at his side, Friday February 8, 2013 at Evergreen Commons, East Greenbush. He is survived by his wife, Cora Ennis; children David (Beth) Ennis, Debra (John) Pardi, Diane (Bill) Haggerty and Dale (Linda) Ennis; brothers, Raymond Ennis and Sidney Ennis; sister, Lillian Adams; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Earl was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy. He had retired from the Fort Orange Paper Company where he had been employed for 47 years. He was a life member of Castleton VFW Post #7337, a life member of the Castleton Fire Company, and a member of Emmanuel Reformed Church.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday February 19, 2013 at Emmanuel Reformed Church, 1150 Maple Hill Rd., Castleton, NY.
Inurnment with full military honors will follow at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Emmanuel Reformed Church Building Fund.
