Ennis, 87, formerly of Castleton, died peacefully with his family at his side, Friday February 8, 2013 at Evergreen Commons, East Greenbush. He is survived by his wife, Cora Ennis; children David (Beth) Ennis, Debra (John) Pardi, Diane (Bill) Haggerty and Dale (Linda) Ennis; brothers, Raymond Ennis and Sidney Ennis; sister, Lillian Adams; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Earl was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy. He had retired from the Fort Orange Paper Company where he had been employed for 47 years. He was a life member of Castleton VFW Post #7337, a life member of the Castleton Fire Company, and a member of Emmanuel Reformed Church. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday February 19, 2013 at Emmanuel Reformed Church, 1150 Maple Hill Rd., Castleton, NY. Inurnment with full military honors will follow at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery at 2:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Emmanuel Reformed Church Building Fund.
