Zachary A. Garcia, 33, passed away on March 18, 2024.

The life of Zach Garcia, born on September 19, 1990, in Albany, NY, is a celebration of passion, determination, and a zest for life. Growing up in Castleton-on-Hudson, Zachary was a proud graduate of Maple Hill High School, where his athletic abilities shone on the soccer field and various other sports arenas. His love for speed was evident as he excelled in dirt bike racing, proudly bearing the number 86. Embracing the mantra "live fast," Zachary lived every day to the fullest, indulging in an adrenaline-fueled lifestyle, like racing fast boats and jet skis.

This vibrant soul cherished companionship, especially with his beloved late dog, Tucker, who held a special place in his heart.

Zachary's infectious spirit and love for living on the edge endeared him to all who knew him. Zach struggled with addiction and mental illness and although he was unable to love himself his huge heart and ability to show love and thoughtfulness is how he will be remembered.

He is survived by his mother Stacey (Frank Cannone) Wilkinson, father Roger (Kelly Hart) Garcia, grandparents Rufus “Bud” and Carol Wilkinson and Sandy Garcia; siblings, Amanda (Nick) DeNyse, Erica Garcia, Krista (Tom Lupe) Garcia and Conor Garcia; special uncle Craig Wilkinson; his loving nieces and nephew Madison DeNyse, Asher Lupe, Mackenzie DeNyse and pup nephew Guiness. He is also survived by an abundance of aunts, uncles, and cousins who all loved him dearly. He was predeceased by his grandfather Louis Garcia.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Castleton Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 4-7 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday morning at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 1583 Carney Road. Castleton, NY 12033. Inurnment will immediately follow in Horizon View Cemetery, Castleton.
