Warren H. Carner, Jr. Age 70, son of Warren H. Sr. and Marjorie McLaury Carner.

Born in Albany, January 20, 1944

Warren worked for Heeder Oil for 20 years, served as a police officer for the Village of Castleton, was the owner of Carner’s Village Liquor and retired as Deputy Superintendent of the Highway Department for the Town of Schodack in 2009. He was a life member of the Castleton Fire Company as well as a Committeeman and Board member of the Schodack Republican Club.

Survived by wife Marianne DeMartini Carner, sons Matthew (Debbie Lammerts), Jeffrey (Julie), David (Kathy) O’Neal, Gary (Paula) O’Neal, and Michael O’Neal.

Grandchildren Christopher, Nicholas and Ethan Carner, Amy Locitzer, Becky O’Neal, Jenny O’Neal, Erin O’Neal, Sandy Smith, Patricia Pullar, William O’Neal, Rose O’Neal, Miranda and Hannah Beebe.

Great grandchildren Ashley Grant, Jimmie, Tyler, Joshua and Andrew Pullar, Cameron and Connor Smith, Brady Dunham, Madison and Ryan Hampson and Thomas and Patrick Locitzer.

He is also survived by his sister, Frances (Jim) Van Amerongen, brother Kenneth (Annette) Carner and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their thanks to the dedicated staff at both Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City where Warren received a double lung transplant in May 2012, and also to the staff at St. Peter’s Hospital both of which provided such wonderful care.
