Cinelli, Thomas CASTLETON Thomas Cinelli, DDS, 76, died Sunday, March 24, 2013 after a long illness from metastatic prostate cancer and dementia at Riverside (Resurrection) Center. Dr. Cinelli was the son of the late Jenny and Pasquale Cinelli of Schaghticoke N.Y. He was the cherished husband of Patricia All Cinelli. Dr. Cinelli graduated from Siena College in 1957, and in 1961 from New Jersey College Of Dentistry (Seton Hall). He served as a dental officer in the US Navy Dental Corps from 1961-1963, and was awarded a commendation as the top dental officer of 45 Dentists assigned to the detachment at Parris Island Marine Corp Recruit Depot. He worked as an associate in the general practice of Dr. Robert Dunning in Amsterdam, N.Y. from 1963-1964. He began his own practice of general dentistry February 1964 in Castleton, where he continued to practice for 42 years. Dr. Cinelli was an active participant in various community organizations including The Castleton Kiwanis Club (30yrs), The Schodack Business Association, The Waterfront Advisory Committee (chairman), and the Esquatak Historical Society. In 2004 he received the Castleton Community Appreciation Award. He was also a lifetime member of the 3rd District Dental Society. In addition to his beloved wife he is survived by his children, Victoria A. Callagan, Amy (Daniel) Mahoney and Chief Petty Officer USN Josh T (Lis) Cinelli. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Michael (Jocelyn) Adair and Robin (Emil) Ronchi. He was the loving grandfather to Nicole (Andrew) Osterhout, Ryan Callagan, Brendan Thomas Mahoney, Maria and Emilia Rochi, Lily Adair and Jason Bator. He is also survived by two brothers, James Cinelli and Pasquale (Patricia) Cinelli, and several nieces and nephews. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church in Castleton at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 2. Calling hours will be from 4-8 p.m. April 1 at the Ray Funeral Home in Castleton. His final resting place will be at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
