Obituary

In loving memory of Shirley A. TenKate, who passed away peacefully at home in Castleton-on-Hudson, NY, on August 8, 2018. Shirley was born in Middletown, NY on July 10, 1929 to Raymond and Myrtle Hulseapple as one of 4 children. She is predeceased by her husband James after 69 years of marriage. She is survived by her four sons, William A. (Linda), Michael J. (Maryann), Raymond J. (Velicia), Kevin R., and sister Mildred Sircable (Herman). She also has 9 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren.

She was a lifetime member of the Circleville Fire Company Auxiliary, and served as treasurer in the past.

She belonged to the Happy Seniors, and Town of Wallkill Seniors.

Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed life, playing cards, and spending a lot of time with friends and family; she especially enjoyed cooking for her family. She will be greatly missed by all, and our thoughts will always be of her.

Shirley will be cremated and wished to have no memorial service. The immediate family will have a private memorial at a later time.
