Nancy Faye Rose

Nancy Faye Rose, 76, of Schodack passed away on January 21, 2022 at Albany Medical Center in the arms of her husband John Leighton. Nancy was an adventurer, sailor, long distance traveler, diver, and under water photographer. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and a compassionate and loyal friend. She will be remembered fondly by her clients in her insurance and real estate business. She lived life as it should be lived and never said “no” to an adventure. Nancy spent most of her life in Columbia and Rensselaer Counties. She was predeceased by her brother William Marr. She is survived by her husband John Leighton; brothers Frank J. Marr and Peter M. Marr; loving son, Mark Bogausch; step daughters, Janice Craft and Michele Leighton. Nancy was known as Nana and leaves to cherish her memory her grandchildren, Cody Bogausch, Brock Bogausch, Christopher MacIsacc, Heather MacIsaac, Eryk Craft, and Katrina Tarbox; great grandson Steven MacIsacc. She is also survived by her nieces Christy Adalian and Jessie Marr. There are many more of us to remember her kindness, warmth and helping hands. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Nancy’s friend, “Lady Jane” Linda Clark who was with Nancy to the end with warmth, compassion and love. Nancy loved her family and passed on her love of living a full life to everyone she met. Her favorite saying was “never say no!” Calling hours will be held at the Castleton Funeral Home, 59 Seaman Ave. in Castleton on Saturday from 10AM-1PM. A funeral service will follow at 1:00PM. Following the service, family and friends are invited to gather at John's house, 1435 Schodack Valley Road, Castleton NY 12033
