Maryanna “Bonnie” Wolff, 84, of Castleton passed away at Van Rensselaer Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation on August 18, 2022. Born in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late William and Evelyn MacGregor and sister of the late Hugh “Skip” MacGregor.
Bonnie spent most of her career as a professional secretary in insurance, law, and banking, where she would become the President of Savings Bank Women while at National Savings Bank. Her last position was as a legal secretary for Tobin and Dempf. Bonnie had many talents; she was an accomplished knitter and interior decorator. She loved to bake, cook, and entertain for her family, especially during the holidays.
Bonnie had a distinctive sense of style and would make sure she was always dressed to the nines in a trendy yet classic look. She enjoyed traveling, fine dining and would attend shows on Broadway and at Proctors with her husband Fred. She was an avid animal lover with a deep connection to her adopted pets.
Bonnie is survived by her loving husband Alfred E. Wolff; son, William B. Wolff; daughter, Wendy H. (David) Fernandez and her three grandchildren, Lydia, Elena, and Marisa Fernandez. Bonnie is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as in-laws and other family.
The family is grateful for the loving and compassionate care Bonnie has received in this journey, particularly for the last 3 years by the staff at Van Rensselaer Manor.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Castleton Funeral Home, 59 Seaman Ave., Castleton on Saturday, September 24 from 3-5PM to celebrate her life.
