Joyce Zakrzewski

Zakrzewski, Joyce A.

Castleton-Joyce A. Zakrzewski, 61, passed Tuesday December 2, 2014 at Hospice Inn, St. Peter’s Hospital with her family at her side.

Born in Ballston Spa, she is the daughter of Henry Wells and the late Ocil (Cowen) Wells. She was the wife of the late Joseph S. Zakrzewski and step-mother to his children. She had been employed for 15 years at Albany Memorial Hospital as an environmental supervisor and for the last 5 years for the Sisters of St. Joseph, Latham as facilities supervisor.

She is survived by her daughter Darcy Van Denburg; her fiance and loving companion Hank Kissinger; her step-daughter Nicole Kissinger (Thomas Jerome); sisters, Dorothy (William) Pollack and Patricia Allen; brother Arthur (Suzann) Cornell; cousin Judy Rappold; grandson Jionni Jerome; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be 2-4 pm Saturday December 6, 2014 at Ray Funeral Service, Inc. 59 Seaman Ave., Castleton, NY. A memorial service will follow at 4 pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Sisters of St. Joseph, 385 Watervliet Shaker Rd., Latham, NY 12110.
