Joyce M. Martone

Watervliet- Joyce M. Martone, formerly of Castleton, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 12 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family just one day after her 84th birthday. Joyce was born in Cambridge, NY, to the late John H. and Marion F. (Taylor) Carlton, on June 11, 1939. Joyce was married to the late Roger Martone, and they spent many years living in Castleton. She loved accomplishing puzzles and playing bingo at Castle Hill. She loved baking and enjoyed growing herbs and tending to her garden. Above all, Joyce loved spending time with her family.

Joyce was predeceased by her parents, husband, and her grandson Jack Martone. She is survived by her children David (Karen) Martone, Jean (Steven) Kleinhans, Anthony (Wendy) Martone, and Tina Martone, and, she is survived by her grandchildren Amanda (TJ) Kleinhans, Josh (Randy) Kleinhans, Keith (Ashley) Kleinhans, Jacquelyn (Mark) Kleinhans, Charles (April) Pelton IV, Joey (Brandy) Martone, and Heather Martino. She is survived by her great-grandchildren, Riley Monroe, Wyatt Monroe, Michael Buckley Jr, Octavia Buckley, Mark Boniface Jr, Karsen Boniface, Kaiden Kleinhans, Ayla Kleinhans, Adaline Kleinhans, Laila Cook, Joey Martone Jr., Haven Martone, Mason Martone, Maverick Martone, Julianna Martino, and Kaylee Blowers.

Relatives and friends are invited to A Celebration of Life with Joyce’s family from 4:00-6:00 pm on Tuesday, June 20th, at the Castleton Funeral Home 59 Seaman Ave., Castleton-on-Hudson, NY 12033. The funeral service for Joyce will follow the conclusion of the calling hours at the funeral home, at 6:00 pm.
