John J. Secovnie

Oldsmar, FL- John J. Secovnie, 71, of Oldsmar, FL passed away on January 8, 2024, after a brief illness. John was born to the late Mary Jane (Keegan) and James Secovnie on February 10, 1952, in Hudson, NY. He retired from Sanofi Pasteur of Pennsylvania and had previously worked for Sterling Drug Co. of Rensselaer, NY. In his retirement, he moved to Florida where he resided for the last 16 years. John was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed horse racing. He also enjoyed traveling and spending time with his friends.

John was predeceased by his parents; his brothers, James Secovnie and Joseph J. Secovnie Sr. He is survived by his nephew, Joseph J. Secovnie Jr.; his sisters in law, Laura A. Watt and Julia Secovnie; and several cousins.

A special thank you to all his wonderful friends for their care and compassion during John’s final months.

A private burial in New Sacred Heart Cemetery in Castleton, NY, will take place in the spring, where he will be inurned next to his brother, Joseph, at his family’s convenience.
