Castleton-Mr James Andrew Jensen, JR, of Castleton, NY, passed peacefully, at the Rosewood Gardens nursing home, on Sunday May 14th, at the age of 68, after battling a long illness.

James is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Anne, of Castleton, son Douglas (Debra) Jensen of Cohoes, brother Jerry (Phyllis) Jensen of Delmar, several cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and loved ones.

James was born on March 25th, 1949 in Bronx, NY to the late James and Virginia Jensen. He graduated from Columbia High School in 1967 and joined the U.S. Navy in 1968. After serving as a member of the Seabees for 6 years, traveling all over the world, including the Azores and Vietnam, was honorably discharged in 1974, at which time, began working for Callanan Industries, Inc., where he remained until his retirement in 2014.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5pm to 8pm, Tuesday May 16th, at Ray Funeral Service, Inc. 59 Seaman Ave, Castleton, NY. His funeral Mass is scheduled for Wednesday May 17th at 10am, at Sacred Heart Church, 3 Catholic Way, Castleton, NY, followed by burial with military honors at Mountain View Cemetery in Castleton.
