Heeder, Hope Ann
Hope Ann Heeder formerly of Castleton, 56, passed away on November 16, 2012 in her home in Athol MA after a long illness, Hope was born in Albany NY on September 22, 1956, daughter of the late Robert and Virginia (Maxwell) Heeder, Hope was co-valedictorian of the 1974 graduating class at Maple Hill High school in Castleton-on-Hudson, NY. After her graduation from high school, Hope entered the United States Army, serving her country for three years. She then began a thirty four year career as a civilian employee at Fort Devens in Ayer, MA. Most recently she worked as the supervisor of the food services as well as coordinator of the Fort Devens Cemetery.
HOPE Leaves behind her sister and brother in-law Jill (Heeder)and Mark Conway of Ballston Spa, NY and her niece Christina Frechette of East Greenbush, NY. The Family would like to thank her friends and the Gardner Visiting Nurses Association Hospice who made it possible for her to stay at home till the end.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 3 pm at Ray Funeral Home at Castleton NY. Visitation prior to the service from 1 to 3 pm. Interment will be in the Castleton Cemetery immediately following the memorial service.
