On September 3, 2021, Helen Quinn left this world and passed on to eternal life. Helen was a kind and gentleperson, and a loving wife and mother. She could talk to anyone, even strangers, and more importantly, she would listen and show genuine interest in that person’s life. Helen spent her life as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, supporting all of her family members’ endeavors. She never needed an occasion to provide a card, a gift, or a word of support to her friends or loved ones: this was just who she was. Her giving spirit extended to her volunteer work at the Castleton Volunteer Ambulance, and many other organizations. Helen enjoyed traveling with her beloved husband Joe, and they had many adventures, traveling throughout the U.S. and abroad. Helen enjoyed spending time with her wide circle of friends and family over a delicious meal, while engaging in good conversation. She also enjoyed spending time at home, observing the natural world. She was very fond of hummingbirds and cardinals, and appreciated the wildlife and gardens that surrounded her home. You did not have to know Helen very long or very well to love her: she touched those who even briefly crossed her path. She will be profoundly missed by everyone who knew her.
Helen Grace Quinn was born April 26, 1945 to Fred and Helen Schultz. Her siblings include Fred Schultz (Priscilla), John Schultz (Marcia) and Kate Stewart (Denny.) She married Joe Quinn on November 17, 1963, and they remained a devoted couple for 57 years. She had two sons David Quinn (Jamie) and Steven Quinn. She had four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
