KERRIGAN, Edward Thomas

Castleton-Edward (Ed) died peacefully with his family at his side on Tuesday October 25, 2016. Born in Brooklyn, NY, son of Mary and Edward Kerrigan. Ed served in the US Navy in the Korean War on the USS Saipan. After the war, Ed met the love of his life, Betty, and built his life centered around his wife, five children and friends.

Ed had a love for baseball, golf, camping and his pets. After a long career with Gerber Baby Foods, he retired in 1993 and enjoyed traveling the country with his wife in their RV.

Ed is survived by one son Ed (Denise) Kerrigan, four daughters Pat VanBuren, Jean (Daniel) Wright, Kathy (Jim) Gerace, MaryBeth Pomykaj, and his 10 grandchildren Jessica, Jeanette, Emily, Megan, Adam, Erin, Becky, Alex, Hunter and Jack.

A Christian funeral mass will be held at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, October 29, at Sacred Heart Church, Castleton, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Castleton Ambulance and/or Columbia Greene Humane Society, Hudson, NY. Ed’s family would like to give a heart-felt thank you to Janet Brendli, St. Peter’s Hospital, and Hospice for their wonderful care.
